The Euroil Kazanlı Terminal Buoy System is located on the Mediterranean coast of Mersin and is a system that primarily handles the loading and unloading of liquid petroleum products via a marine terminal. The facility consists of three mooring buoys, with water depths reaching up to -13.5 metres at the buoy points. The Euroil buoy system, with infrastructure suitable for berthing vessels of up to 50,000 DWT, is designed to allow two fuel tankers to operate simultaneously. Pipeline diameters are specified as 10″ and 16″. The necessary permits have been obtained to increase the storage capacity to 65,000 m³. Equipped with safety procedures, hazardous cargo handling guidelines and flexible hose/breakaway coupling systems, the facility plays a critical role in the region's fuel logistics chain.

Restrictions

Special permits/protocols exist for ships carrying dangerous cargo; approval must be obtained from the terminal operator. The entry and exit of ships carrying dangerous cargo into the port, night/day markings, safety, personnel protective equipment, fire prevention measures, etc. must comply with standards. Physical restrictions (such as draft, LOA) were not clearly stated as direct figures in the documents. However, safety and personnel certificates, as well as procedures for hazardous cargo operations, have been established. The facility has no rail connection. Road connection is available; transport infrastructure is limited under port regulations.
