MESBAS

MESBAŞ Port is located within the Mersin Free Zone and began operations in 1987. This port, which provides direct services to the free zone, specializes in containers, general cargo, bulk cargo, and project cargo. With an annual cargo handling capacity of approximately 5 million tons, the facility also provides fast customs and logistics solutions to manufacturers and exporters in the free zone. With a quay length exceeding 1,800 meters, the port can accommodate simultaneous operations of different types of ships, and its depths of up to -12 meters allow it to serve medium and large tonnage vessels. With its strategic location, free zone advantages, and modern terminal services, MESBAŞ Port is one of the important trade centers in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the port or anchoring at the locations specified below. The service is provided by the Coastal safety and is available 24 hours a day. VHF channels 16 and 12.

Four tugs are available, including at weekends, providing 24-hour service provided by the MEDMARINE.
