About CEYPORT

The Mersin Taşucu Port is operated by Ceyport Taşucu International Port Management. The port offers a wide range of services, including bulk cargo (solid and liquid), general cargo, containers, Ro-Ro, passenger and project cargo. It has a total handling capacity of 3 million tonnes of general and bulk cargo, 250,000 tonnes of liquid cargo and 100,000 TEU of containers. The port's total area is 453,752 m², with a covered warehouse area of **63,000 m²** and a quay length of 1,190 m, reaching a maximum depth of −11 m. Expansion works planned to be completed by 2025 aim to increase the handling capacity to 500,000 TEU and 11 million tonnes. With its multi-purpose structure and strategic Mediterranean location, the port is a critical logistics hub for regional trade.

Dangerous cargo is handled on RO-RO vehicles arriving at and departing from the port facility for domestic/international transport. The port is generally used for voyages connected to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria and Israel.

Pilotage

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the port or anchoring at the locations specified below. The service is provided by the Port Authority and is available 24 hours a day. VHF channels 16 and 12.

Tug

Tugboat is available and are provided by the Port Authority.

Restrictions

Vessels carrying dangerous cargo shall be berthed during daylight hours, as specified in the Port Regulations, and during night-time hours when authorised by the Port Authority. In the conditions where unfavourable weather conditions, currents and wind are assessed to render loading/unloading unsafe, the operation shall be suspended and measures such as removing the vessels and anchoring them shall be taken.
