Pilotage is compulsory for mooring and unmooring, day or night. Service provided by BOTAS.

Five tugs are available to assist with berthing and unberthing. Depending on weather and safety conditions, additional tugs may be assigned by Botaş or the port authority, or requested by the vessel.

1) Vessel draft shall not exceed 150,000 meters.
2) Berthing and departure manoeuvres are performed day and night.
3) Vessel maximum draft shall not exceed 24 meters.
4) The minimum mooring and tugboat requirements for berthing, depending on the vessel's gross tonnage, shall be verified in accordance with the Ports Regulation published in the Official Gazette No. 28453 dated October 31, 2012.
5) Vessels arriving at the terminal can dock at the pier day or night. On days with adverse weather conditions, the Port Authority may close the port to vessel traffic if deemed necessary.
6) During excessively rainy weather, loading activities are suspended with consideration for personnel safety.
7) In the event of a severe storm, sudden strong winds, or lightning strikes, loading and unloading operations are suspended.
