AKPET LUKOIL PORT

The Akpet Mersin Buoy Mooring Facility is a CBM (Conventional Buoy Mooring) system located on the Mediterranean coast of Mersin, enabling the safe unloading and loading of liquid cargoes such as crude oil and petroleum derivatives. Established in the 1980s, the facility operates via large buoys positioned offshore and pipelines connected to the shore. With a storage capacity of approximately 27,000 m³, the terminal has the infrastructure to accommodate tankers of 40,000–60,000 DWT. The buoys, located in an area with a sea depth ranging from 14 to 20 metres, enable uninterrupted operations throughout the year. With its modern facilities and strategic location, Akpet Mersin Buoy serves as a critical transfer point in Turkey's energy logistics.

Pilotage is compulsory for mooring and unmooring, day or night. The pilot will meet vessels in the anchorage area 2 miles south of the end of the quay. After the vessel has berthed, the Pilot/Loading Master remains on board and requires a separate cabin. The service provided by MERSIN 2- PILOTAGE.
