About THY OPET

THY OPET Yesilkoy Terminal, located in the Yesilkoy / Bakirkoy district of Istanbul, serves as a dedicated oil / fuel handling facility under THY OPET Aviation Fuels. is registered as a port facility (terminal code TRIST-0084) for oil tankers.

The terminal is equipped with a shore-to-ship buoy / pipeline system rather than traditional piers or quays, enabling safe transfer of petroleum products to and from vessels moored offshore. Its operational safety is supported by a publicly available Dangerous Goods Handling Guide, which outlines protocols for mooring, leakage detection, emergency separation, and coordination between ship and terminal staff.
