SAFIPORT

Safiport is one of Turkey's largest and most modern port facilities, strategically located in the Gulf of Kocaeli. With its multi-purpose design, it offers handling capabilities for both container and general cargo, bulk cargo, liquid cargo, and project cargo. With a quay length exceeding 2,000 meters and depths reaching up to -18 meters, it has the capacity to serve the world's largest ships.

The port features high-capacity crane systems, modern storage areas, silos, and tank farms, enabling operations to be carried out on multiple ships simultaneously. The container terminal has an annual handling capacity of millions of TEUs, and there are also large open and closed storage areas for bulk cargo and general cargo operations.

Safiport's logistical advantages include rail connections, easy road access, and proximity to industrial areas in its hinterland. Furthermore, the automation systems and security standards used at the port ensure fast and safe operations in compliance with international maritime regulations.

Safiport Port, which contributes significantly to Turkey's foreign trade volume, is one of the most important logistics centers in the region, both in terms of its capacity and the modern infrastructure it offers.

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the port or anchoring at the locations specified below. The service is provided by the SAFIPORT and is available 24 hours a day. VHF channels 16 and 12.

Four tugs are available, including at weekends, providing 24-hour provided by the Port Authority.
