PORT OF CANAKKALE

Port of Çanakkale, also known as Kepez Port, is strategically located in the Dardanelles Strait and serves as a multifaceted maritime gateway for the region. It handles bulk, general cargo, liquid, chemical, container, Ro-Ro, and cruise traffic.

Technical Highlights & Capabilities:

• The main pier is 214 m long and 24 m wide.
• Draft limits range from a minimum of 14 m to a maximum of 28 m in deeper sections, enabling accommodation of larger vessels.
• Pier capacity: up to 60,000 DWT vessels.
• The port is equipped with 2 Ro-Ro ramps (widths 26 m and 21 m) and 1 ferry ramp.
• Storage & customs zones: about 30,000 m² open bonded area and 3,000 m² closed / warehouse area.
• Fuel / warehouse capacity: “Type A general fuel warehouse” is around 13,621 m³; waste reception facility storage ~ 12,997 m³

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the port or anchoring at the locations specified below. The service is provided by the PORT OF CANAKKALE and is available 24 hours a day. VHF channels 14 and 16.

Four tugs are available, including at weekends, providing 24-hour provided by the PORT OF CANAKKALE.
