MKS MARMARA

MKS Marmara, part of MKS Petrowell, operates a specialized chemical / liquid bulk terminal located in Gemlik, Bursa The facility serves as the shipping interface for chemicals like methanol, formaldehyde, and related products, linking the company’s production site directly to maritime logistics.

According to information from the Gemlik Port Authority, the MKS pipeline and buoy (shamandıra) system supports vessel mooring with a depth of about 10 meters and handles liquid cargo volumes up to 6,000 m³ per operational unit. It has a modest quay / port footprint and does not primarily engage in container, general cargo or ro-ro services.

MKS Port is registered under Turkish port codes as TRGEM-007, and categorised among the chemical tanker ports in the Marmara region. The port’s operations are grounded in strict safety practices, and the company publishes a Dangerous Goods Handling Guide to govern its liquid chemical handling procedures.
