MARDAS

Mardaş (Mardar Maritime) operates a container and general cargo terminal within the Ambarlı Port complex in Istanbul, covering an area of approximately 265,415 m² with both bonded and non-bonded storage zones. The terminal handles container, general cargo, bulk solid and dry bulk shipments, supporting an annual container throughput of up to 2 million TEU and general cargo volumes around 3 million tons. Its quay system includes 1,115 meters of berth length with a maximum depth of 16.5 meters, allowing it to receive relatively large vessel types.

Equipped with modern handling equipment—such as 3 ship-to-shore gantry cranes (24-row capacity), 9 heavy mobile cranes (100–140 tons), 12 RTGs (40 tons), and a fleet of stackers and forklifts—Mardaş supports efficient cargo operations. Strategically located at the Ambarlı gateway to Istanbul, the port links sea, road, and rail corridors to serve Turkey’s import/export flows, acting as a critical logistics node for containers and bulk goods.
