KROMAN CELIK PORT

Strategically positioned on the northern shore of Izmit Bay in Kocaeli, the Kroman Celik Port operates as a highly specialized maritime terminal directly integrated with the Kroman Çelik steel production facility. Designed to handle vessels of up to 60,000 DWT with a maximum draft of 12 meters, the port features approximately 422 meters of quay length across two main berths, supported by robust infrastructure including mobile cranes and conveyor systems capable of processing 500 tons of material per hour. The terminal manages an extensive storage area comprising 15,000 square meters of warehouse space for finished steel products and 80,000 square meters of open storage for raw materials such as iron ore and coal, with a total stock capacity of 250,000 tons. Operating 24/7 and complying with ISO 9001 standards, the port ensures efficient handling of hot- and cold-rolled steel, galvanized products, and steel profiles, supported by automated weighing systems and comprehensive safety protocols, including full security surveillance and environmental controls. Vessel operations are coordinated via VHF Channel 13, with advance notice required for scheduling.
