ERDEMIR

Erdemir Port, located on Turkey’s western Black Sea coast in Karadeniz Eregli, is a multi-cargo terminal operated by Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikaları (Erdemir). The port handles dry bulk, general cargo, project cargo, liquid bulk, container, Ro-Ro, and chemical tanker operations. It comprises multiple quays and piers, including bulk unloading docks with depths up to 10.5 m and general cargo quays with lesser draft. Equipped with high-capacity unloading cranes (1,400–1,500 t/hr) and numerous cargo cranes (15–40 tons), the port supports loading, unloading, stockpiling, and project cargo operations. Operating 24/7 in three shifts, Erdemir Port also maintains ISPS security standards, pilotage, tugboat services, and has dedicated procedures for handling dangerous goods. Strategically positioned to serve steel production, regional industries and international maritime trade, Erdemir Port functions as a key gateway on the Black Sea coast of Turkey.
