BOTAS PORT

The Marmara Ereglisi LNG Terminal (Tekirdag), owned by BOTAS, is one of the critical infrastructure facilities supporting Turkey's natural gas supply security. The technical specifications and details of this facility are provided below:

The facility performs onshore LNG import, storage, and regasification operations.
Its storage capacity is set up with three tanks, each with a volume of 85,000 m³, for a total of ≈255,000 m³ of LNG.
Its regasification capacity is stated as 37 million standard cubic meters (Sm³/day) of gasification per day.

The terminal has marine piers, dolphins (mooring platforms), and loading/unloading infrastructure suitable for LNG ships to dock.
It is stated that operations comply with environmental regulations and that long and detailed safety protocols for operations are documented in documents such as Port Rules / Terminal Information Booklet.
Capacity expansion projects are also available; one of these is a plan to add a fourth tank to increase the terminal's storage capacity.

Pilotage is compulsory for mooring and unmooring and provided by BOTAS.
