Beldeport commenced operations in 2018 with the completion of its initial investment phase. The terminal currently features a 450-meter quay length with a fixed water depth of 16.5 meters and an annual container handling capacity of 550,000 TEUs, providing the necessary infrastructure to serve mega-container vessels.
The terminal continues its investments toward becoming the region's leading port:
- The Beldeport West Terminal, located west of the Osmangazi Bridge, will expand the existing 450-meter quay to a total linear quay length of 1,384 meters. The water depth will be increased to 19.5 meters, and annual capacity will reach 2,150,000 TEUs
- The Beldeport East Terminal, to be developed east of the Osmangazi Bridge, will feature a linear quay length of 362 meters with a water depth ranging between 15.5 and 24 meters. It will handle 1,500,000 tons of general cargo and 1,500,000 tons of liquid cargo annually.
Additionally, Beldeport offers a 112,000 m² customs-free storage area within the port zone, enabling customers to benefit from services such as empty container storage, washing, and pre-trip inspections (PTI) directly within the terminal. This integrated approach eliminates the need for external storage facilities and provides significant cost advantages to clients.
