AKCANSA

Akçansa Çanakkale Facility is a major integrated cement plant and marine terminal located in the Çanakkale Province of Türkiye. As part of Akçansa, a leading joint venture between Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, the facility is a critical hub for the production and distribution of cement and clinker, leveraging its strategic position on the Dardanelles Strait for efficient maritime logistics.

The terminal includes dedicated berths capable of handling Panamax-class vessels (typically around 60,000-80,000 DWT) for both loading and unloading operations.

The terminal is equipped with advanced technology for handling dry bulk cargo:

• Ship Loaders and Unloaders: High-capacity, automated equipment for rapid loading of cement/clinker onto vessels and unloading of coal and other raw materials.
• Conveyor Systems: An extensive network of enclosed conveyor belts transports materials seamlessly between the storage facilities, the production plant, and the ship berths, ensuring dust-free and efficient operation.
