AK-TAS PORT

AK-TAŞ Port (AK-TAŞ Tank Terminal), located in İzmit, Kocaeli, operates under AK-TAŞ Dış Ticaret A.Ş. and specializes primarily in the handling and storage of liquid chemical cargo. The terminal occupies about 10,000 m² of area and maintains a storage capacity of 37,500 m³ spread across 44 tanks. It is served by a 93 m pier with a depth of approximately 8 m, enabling direct vessel access for loading and unloading of chemical products.

Handling only liquid bulk chemical loads, the facility includes both bonded and non-bonded zones and is outfitted with appropriate safety systems and infrastructure to maintain compliance with chemical handling standards.situated along the Marmara Sea coast, AK-TAŞ serves as an essential node in Turkey’s chemical logistics network, bridging production, storage and maritime transport with operational reliability and specialization.
