About KARADENIZ LPG

Karadeniz LPG Terminal is located on the eastern Black Sea coast, adjacent to the Tirebolu fishing port in Giresun Province. The terminal operates offshore via a CBM (single point mooring) buoy system located roughly 1,000 m from shore in waters of about 11.5 m depth. It commenced LPG operations in November 2006 and maintains dedicated infrastructure for handling liquefied petroleum gas.

Its storage facilities include two large LPG tanks (approx. 3,070 m³ and 3,069 m³) plus twelve smaller 250 m³ tanks, enabling flexible handling and staging of product flows. The terminal also publishes a Dangerous Cargo Handling Guide, which details procedures for mooring, emergency response, safety equipment, pollution control, and vessel-terminal interface operations.

Karadeniz LPG serves as a critical node in Turkey’s energy logistics, connecting the Black Sea maritime corridor with inland LPG distribution. The acquisition of the terminal by BDY Group in recent years has further solidified its strategic role in national LPG supply and infrastructure expansion.
