About TUPRAS JETTY

Anchorage Areas

Anchoring is considered safe for large vessels (the best anchorage information will be given by the Pilot station). Crude oil and large tonnage tankers must anchor in the Outer Harbor.

Pilotage

It is compulsory for all vessels entering Aliağa port limits. Pilot boards depart and move 2 to 3 miles west of the light of Cape Taslı. On anchored vessels, the pilot will board at the same place. When within 10-15 miles, about 3 hours before arrival, vessels can communicate with "Aliağa Pilot Station" on VHF 16 or 13 channels.

Tug

A tugboat and/or mooring boat is mandatory, arranged by the pilot captain and provided by TÜPRAŞ. There are a total of 4 tugboats and 3 mooring boats available. All tugboats are equipped with firefighting equipment.

Berthing

Tankers must inquire about the berthing time and proceed according to the instructions given by the port. There are two berths for LPG, four berths for products, and two berths for crude oil (maximum ship size: 250,000 DWT). Incoming tankers unload at a 'T'-shaped oil pier immediately south of Taşlı Burnu Lighthouse. The pier runs parallel to the coastline and is located at approximately 39° 39' 30' N, 26° 57' 30' E. The outer arm of the jetty, 317 m long, is designed for 100,000 DWT crude oil tankers from the outside and 25,000 DWT tankers from the inside. The outer SE arm is designed for product tankers up to 22,000 DWT and small tankers up to 5,000 DWT for the inner quay. The crude oil quay is roughly at the centre of the KB arm and has four loading arms. The pier is protected by four axial concrete buffers. The product berth is similarly located at the centre of the arm and is equipped with flexible hoses. The crude oil pumping rate is approximately 3,000 tonnes per hour. The crude oil berth allows vessels with a draught of up to 16.5 metres to berth.

VLCC Quay

4x16 inch FMC loading arms for crude oil unloading and 2x12 inch loading arms for bunker loading. Departure and arrival are only possible during daylight hours.

Berth No.1

4x12 inches FMC loading arms for raw unloading or black product loading. If LOA more than 200m, berthing only during daytime.

LPG Platform No.1

1x8 inch. FMC loading arm for LPG, day docking only. (There is only one platform with 2 berths). Underwater Line Length: 1,700 m. Temperature: -12 C Pressure: 11 kg/sqcm. The height above sea level of the vessel's discharge manifold at the end of unloading (with permanent ballast) should not be more than 22 m. For VLCC Berth No.1 and not more than 18 m. For "T" Berth No.1 in order not to damage the FMC loading arm.
