ETKI LNG TERMINAL

Etki LNG Terminal, located in the Aliaga district on the Aegean coast of Izmir, operates as a floating storage & regasification unit (FSRU) facility, making it one of Turkey’s most modern LNG import systems. The terminal features a T-shaped jetty approximately 415 meters in length, complete with breast and mooring dolphins, and a high-pressure gas platform for secure mooring and transfer operations. The FSRU unit moored there has 170,000 m³ storage capacity and is designed for both LNG receipt and regasification, feeding the national gas pipeline network through an onshore connection. The facility was commissioned in December 2016 using the Neptune ship and later upgraded with newer units to enhance capacity. Etki LNG Terminal plays a strategic role in Turkey’s energy infrastructure by enabling flexible gas import capability, alleviating reliance on pipeline-only supply and supporting supply security especially during seasonal demand peaks.
