About BP GEMLIK

BP Gemlik Terminal, operated by BP Petrolleri A.Ş., is a private jetty facility located on the western side of Gemlik Bay in Bursa. Primarily handles liquid bulk cargoes including base oils, lubricants, diesel, gasoline, and related petroleum products.

Technical & Operational Highlights

The jetty is referred in the “Jetty Information Booklet” as BP-Castrol Gemlik Pier, which includes details about safe berthing, mooring, emergency procedures, and operational rules.
According to the Gemlik Port Authority, the total rıhtım (quay) length is 58.5 meters for the BP facility.
The maximum operational depth / draft is listed as 11 meters.
Annually, the terminal handles approximately 600,000 m³ of liquid product throughput.

Strategically sited within Gemlik Bay, the BP terminal is an essential component of the region’s lubricants, fuel and petroleum logistics network. Its dedicated pier infrastructure, controlled operations, and close integration with Gemlik’s port complex make it efficient and secure for handling dangerous liquid cargoes.

Pilot Channels

"NAVIS Pilot Station" on VHF 14,71,16 channels.

Restrictions

Due to excessive wind; -Evacuation will be suspended if the wind blows from the north and west at 5 Beaufort, -if it blows from the south and east at 4-5 Beaufort. When the wind reaches 6 Beaufort, the vessel will be moored at the jetty. The discharge will be suspended during thunderstorms. Berthing in daylight is permitted.
