ASYAPORT

Asyaport, located in Barbaros, Tekirdag, is Turkey’s first transshipment container terminal (hub port) and a strategic gateway for maritime trade in the Sea of Marmara. With a terminal area of approximately 300,000 m², the facility features a quay length of 2,010 meters and a maximum water depth of 18 meters, enabling it to serve large container vessels.

Designed for high throughput, Asyaport’s handling capacity is targeted at 2.5 million TEU annually. It also maintains a stacking capacity of around 91,200 TEU and a cold-storage (reefer) capability for 1,400 containers. Asyaport recently became the first port in Turkey to provide shore power (onshore power supply, OPS) to berthed vessels, reflecting its commitment to greener port operations.

Operated as a joint venture between MSC’s terminal investment arm (GTL) and the Turkish Soyuer Group, Asyaport is built to relieve congestion at Ambarlı and to function as a modern logistics hub. With its deep draft, long quay, and capacity for transshipment traffic, Asyaport is positioning itself as a pivotal container hub in Turkey’s maritime network.
